What kind of shampoo is the best? I use Nature's Recipe which is all-natural, biodegradable and non-toxic. The company carries a full line for all skin types. You should never use human shampoos for your pet. Dogs and cats have different pH balances in their skin, so it could lead to skin issues.
What is the brown discoloration under my dog's eyes? The discoloration is from the dog's tears. Gently wiping the eye with a cotton ball and warm water daily will help cut down on the odor caused by bacteria.
Why do my dog's toenails still appear long after being trimmed? Dogs have "quicks" in their nails. If the toenail is not cut often, the quick also grows long. Clipping the dog's nails often, as much as once a week in the beginning, will help the quick to recede.
How often should I groom my pet? This answer varies greatly depending on the breed, coat type, skin type, coat length and how fast the hair grows. I can give you a better idea when your pet comes in for its appointment.
Why does my dog's haircut cost more than mine?
If my cat is matted and needs to be shaved down, how long will it take for it to grow out? This varies from cat to cat. It could take upwards of six months for your cat's hair to fully grow out.
Is it appropriate to tip the groomer? Tips are accepted and appreciated.
