Vaccination Requirements
Proof of a current Rabies vaccination is required for all dogs and cats before they may be groomed.
Kathy and the staff at Janesville Animal Medical Center recommend the Bordatella vaccination to protect your dog against Kennel Cough. If your dog does not have this vaccination, you must sign a waiver.
Dog Grooming Prices
Please call (608) 868-1761 for a price quote. All prices are a guide, and the final fee will depend on the condition of the dog when it arrives. Kathy will be able to give a better estimate when your dog arrives for its appointment. The grooming price includes: bath, blow dry, clipping, nail trim, cleaning the ears and expressing the anal glands.
Cat Grooming
It is necessary for your cat to undergo general anesthesia for grooming services that require a shave down or lion cut. Unless the cat is used to getting groomed from a very early age, Kathy has found that cats do not enjoy the grooming experience. Cats are not as cooperative as dogs. They crouch or curl up and do not stand on their own. Their skin is also paper thin and can be nicked with the clippers when shaving out mats. A doctor and/or technician is always present to monitor the cat's vital signs. Kathy has found anesthesia to be the least stressful option for both the cat and the groomer.
